The Muse

When I first started boudoir it was more so an adventure for myself. I didn't realize how many lives I would and could change along the way. When I tell people what I do, they immediately think I just take "sexy" pictures. Boudoir is so much more than that, and it's meaning really isn't what you see in a dictionary. To me, being a boudoir photographer comes with the responsibility of awakening someones soul, showing them how powerful, confident and beautiful they are every damn day.

Above all those things I want to make my clients feel unstoppable. 

Becky came to one of my first Marathons that I hosted in Fargo, ND. She was so nervous, and it showed! We did her makeup, hair and then it was time to rock!  Once we finished shooting, the nerves were gone and she was like we need to do that again. I sent her first sneak peeks and she was like....that's me??? Yes! It's all you!!! I remember her telling me how incredible she felt and from that moment on we have been pushing the limits of my work almost every time we shoot together! Let's take a look back at that very first session!

What a start to a beautiful relationship! I was still learning so much about boudoir at this point, but Becky sparked a fire in me like nothing else, and I love how mush she is always encouraging me to do more, push, do something no one else has done! I can't wait to recap our journey together for you right now!

And then we learned about water......

This was the moment as a photographer I found my style, knew exactly what I wanted and Becky just showcased it! 

From this point on it was just us dreaming up what the next session could be! As a photographer I always say it doesn't have to be lingerie....we can do anything!

and then there was glitter....

The next session is already booked, and I can't wait to show you all what we do next. When I work with my  clients, and my muse I always ask them to write a little something about how my work, boudoir and photography has affected them! So here are some amazing words from my muse herself:

My first experience with Eva was one filled with many questions. What do I wear? How does my skin look? Do I have any wayward hairs? Am I too pale?  Will this giant bruise show up?  What if I sweat through my entire session?  You get the idea.  I spent a lot of time and even more money prepping for my turn in the spotlight.  (Disclaimer: there isn't a need to spend a lot of money on clothes, jewelry, props, etc. if you can't afford it.  She will help you find the perfect stuff to accompany the look you are going for.)  A friend that had already done a session a few months prior convinced me it was a good idea and accompanied me to the hotel.  I was nervous.  As a person who doesn't mind being naked, I sure have a lot of doubts about the way my body looks.  Hair and makeup were first.  I got totally glammed up by Eva and an assistant, and then it was time to get naked!!  Eva made me feel comfortable right off the bat.  In no time I was whipping clothes off and tossing outfits for her to choose from.  (Another disclaimer: you can be as free and wild as you like!  If you aren't that comfortable, that's ok too!  You can change in private.  Whatever floats your boat!!)  The session was a whirlwind.  She posed me for each shot and was extremely encouraging.  We laughed and had a great time!  She definitely pushes your body to the limit!  I couldn't wait to get my sneak peeks!  After a few more hours of shooting and relaxing, she was more than happy to oblige our need to see what we had created.  I WAS BLOWN AWAY!  Never had I ever felt so good about myself!  I couldn't even believe it was me!  I messaged Eva with professions of love and admiration.  (She thinks I'm crazy, btw!)  After that, I was hooked.  I can't even count the number of times Eva and I have been together since then.  We push the limit now, and every time is different and more exciting than the last. 

It has been extremely fun, exciting, and rewarding for me to watch Eva's brand evolve.  I love that I have helped her help others find their beauty - no matter your size, shape, skin color, etc.  Everyone deserves to feel gorgeous, sexy, hot, but most importantly, love for themselves!!  If you have an inner voice making excuses as to why you can't book a session today, you need to tell that girl to shut it.  Don't wait, you won't regret it!
